Our buddy class helped us write about our favourite animal on Friday.  Amelia read her writing to us with the mircophone.  Ruby was a very helpful buddy.

TKW Construction Zone

Over the term we have been learning to construct.  

We made photo frames, corsages, button holes and houses to display.

First day of Spring

In New Zealand we officially celebrate the beginning of Spring on September 1.  Spring is the windiest month in Spring.  We made some wind socks to see which direction the wind was blowing.

Today we had a special visitor to Ruma Wha. Gabie the goat is only one day old but he was very happy to let us pat him and sat on Jess's knee with his eyes closed while we talked about him.

Floating and Sinking

Today we estimated whether objects would float or sink.  The marble, rock, nail and toy car sunk.  The tennis ball, pencil, apple, stick and leaf floated.

Cheese Tasting

We have been reading a poem called "Cheese Please".  We tasted some cheddar cheese and some smoked cheese.  Most of us liked the cheddar cheese better.
